- Writers that are younger than 18 must receive parent permission before publishing. To do so please email the youth league email linked above to receive a parental consent form.
- Things to think about before submitting:
- What inspired you to think about your topic? Does it remind you of a relative? Or a place? Or a song? Using stories in understanding of theory is one way to engage in praxis. You should be happy sending everyone your shiny new Midwestern Marx article, knowing you wrote it so anyone could read it. So, consider writing your submission connecting it to your own personal life in the way a cadre in the Mass Line would (as described by Mao and others) to recruit comrades to join your revolution. Theory must meet workers where they are, so should your submission, so it can be shared after publication with comrades in the workplace, in your family, your school, anyone. In essence, take into consideration how the purpose of the article can advance and aid the class struggle.
*Note - Publication does not mean endorsement. Midwestern Marx seeks to cultivate a space for comradery political and theoretical discourse on advancing the class struggle and fighting imperialism. We will not publish articles which promote, directly or indirectly, the interests of American imperialism. Neither will we publish articles which promote racism, sexism, or any form of bigotry. Within these confines, we are open to publishing work from various strands of Marxism and socialism.
