The Midwestern Marx Institute is an American Marxist-Leninist think tank founded in 2020 by Philosophy Professor Dr. Carlos L. Garrido (Instagram) and Political Analyst Edward Liger Smith (Instagram • X/Twitter).
It operates a website that publishes articles on Marxist philosophy, socialist history, and current events, alongside maintaining an active presence on major platforms under @midwesternmarx. Since its founding, the Midwestern Marx Institute has grown into the largest Marxist think tank in the United States, amassing hundreds of millions of views annually and a following of over half a million across its media platforms. The Marxist School has educated thousands of students, and the Institute has collaborated with leading Marxist scholars worldwide.
Under the leadership of Dr. Carlos L.
